It is Karen’s intention to offer you and your child(ren) a variety of tools and perspectives with which to reevaluate how to best communicate, listen to and support one another.

We can only see and understand that which we can perceive.  Much of Karen’s work with parents is in helping them “see” outside their usual field. By doing so, she  supports parents in re-viewing  a child’s deep needs within the family and school environment. In working with children and teens and their parents, she engages deep listening skills  and  her intuitive abilities to find the driving causes of a child’s misbehavior and/or unhappiness.

In this day and age, we have a myriad of tools, books and programs  available to us for self help. However, many of us still view our child’s behavior from old paradigms. Not because we are ill-intentioned, but usually because we have not taken the time  or do not know how to free ourselves of our “trigger” behaviors, and many of the out-of-date constructs that we have dragged with us from our own childhoods.

Parents and children who work with Karen find they are able to find support and encouragement within the family  that can minimize the negative effect of  cultural judgments out in the world. It is within the family that our inner world is developed. It is how our parents and siblings see us that has tremendous impact on our entire world view when we are very young. We can, as parents and caregivers, have a huge influence on our children, helping them discern what to accept and what to reject in the greater world.  But sometimes, in order to do this day in and day out, we adults need some support. And that is why Karen provides her services. Karen was raised in a dynamic private school, age 3-16, that engaged the whole child in learning. So she is not only trained in this approach, but it  runs through her  being. For her, living passionately is second nature. Her emphasis as a teacher, a nursery school director and as a mom, has always been to provide ways to truly see  a child’s inner passion and then to provide ways for the child to engage that passion daily. What she has learned by doing this is that a child who’s inner drives are satisfied in outward activity is a happy child.

Karen’s most treasured experience and training is that as mother to Liana, Bindu, Alex and Ben, 4 highly unique  and incredible people who still grace her life  whether they live near or far.

Implemented techniques include:

Consults can be in person or by phone, anywhere in the world, as they consist of verbal exchange and “energy work”, as cited above. Distance seems not to be an issue when working in this way.

Karen will preferably schedule the first consult for 1-1/2 hours, and is happy to schedule a 15 minute free introductory call, so you can evaluate whether or not this kind of approach is a good fit for you and your family.

She charges $80 US for a consult, and is open to adjusting fees to a client’s ability to pay with a minimum of $40 per session.

And that regardless of society’s various labels,  including the new ones of “indigo", "crystal", etc, she seeks to elicit the unique gifts of your child as well as your own.
